How it worksSpeed training involves swinging through our routines with the Gold weight (20% heavier than driver) and progressing to the Silver weight (20% lighter) and down to the shaft only for maximum overspeed. |
The Gold weight activates muscles in the swing and builds strength. The swings with the Silver weight and shaft create the overspeed in the swing which is where the body begins moving faster than it has. Let's paint a real life scenario. You swing 100 mph and can drive the ball 260 yards. On a straight 490 yard par 5 you are now 230 out from the green. Now you'll pull out your 3 wood and knock it 10 yards out (assuming on target shot) and can hit a chip and your on and ready to putt... But now you trained and gained 7 mph and 20 yards of distance so your drive goes 280 yards leaving you with 210 yards. But now your improved swing speed translates to more distance with your other clubs too. So now instead of the 3 wood, you're using hybrid or a 3 iron. Imagine going from a 3 wood to a 3 iron! You will now have better control of the roll out with an iron compared to your wood and now have opportunity to get it on and be ready to putt in 3 instead of 4.
It's just math. (But not the hard kind)
